It was a great pleasure for us that we could show the activities of our school media group to 13 young people from Romania within the Erasmus+ program. First, we showed them our media room and a presentation about the activities of our studio. After that the students completed a quiz in groups, meanwhile we asked each guest some exciting questions. After the amusing interview we closed our program with a contest about films and music. We would like to thank for our teachers Csilla Postáné and Detti Nagy for their help.
Why did you apply for this Erasmus program?
Sonia/Beatrice: It’s a good way to practise our English, we can meet people from other countries, and it’s very exciting to learn about their traditions.
Have you learned any Hungarian words? Can you say something in Hungarian?
Sonia/Beatrice: Yes, we can introduce ourselves, and we learnt some useful Hungarian words, for example „köszönöm”, „papucs”, „pacsi”, „szia” and „egészségedre”.
What Hungarian food have you tried? Did you like it?
Stefy: We tasted Gulyás, and it was really tasty.
Vlad: We ate Rakott krumpli yesterday. I think Gulyás is more delicious than.
What was your favourite activity during the program?
Everybody: The treasure hunt yesterday in Great Forest.
Did you make new friends here? How did you communicate?
Vlad and Stefy: We made a lot of friends, and we can communicate in English. Sometimes we use dictionary programs or play activity, but it’s really very good.
What do you think about Hungarian people? Were they friendly?
Everybody: People are very friendly, a lot friendlier than we expected.
How different is Hungarian culture from Romanian culture?
Bianca: The traditional clothes are similar; the traditional music is almost the same. In Romania traditional dances are always danced with partners or in big groups.
Andra: The food is different but not very much. Hungarian dishes are spicy, and there are a lot of herbs in them, more than in our dishes.
What is something new you have learned about Hungary?
Daria: We learnt some Hungarian words and some facts about the geography of Hungary. For example, we learnt a lot about caves in Hungary and we heard some new facts about the Danube.
If you could bring one thing from Hungary back to Romania, what would it be?
Mario: The kindness of Hungarian people and the religious communities. And there is one more thing: the infrastructure is better, the traffic is really nice, and there are big open spaces, and we can see the nature in the city.
Would you like to visit Hungary again? Why or why not?
Rebeca: Yes, I’d like to visit Hungary again because the city is very clean, and Hungarian people are very nice.
What advice would you give to students who want to join an Erasmus program?
Ariana: I would tell them to be brave, be open to make new friends and try to enjoy it.
Aida: The first thing that you have to be open-minded, understanding and brave enough to communicate.
What will you tell your friends and family about your experience in Hungary?
Rebeca: I had so much fun, and I made a lot of friends, and I had very good experiences.
Casiana: I stayed at a good family they were very kind and friendly and I made a lot of friends.
